CA Atty General Urges Customers to Delete 23andMe Genetic Data

On Friday, March 21, 2025, the California Attorney General issued an urgent customer alert to those who have a 23andMe account.

In its alert, the AG’s office provides instructions for how to:
  • delete your genetic data
  • request 23andMe destroy your test sample
  • revoke permission for your genetic data to be used for research
